Today, young people from the Orphans Future Foundation gathered for a Financial Literacy Breakfast — a fresh and engaging format that immediately resonated with the participants.
Together with trainer Oleksandr Sokhatskyi, in a warm and trusting atmosphere, we talked about how not to spend everything today, but instead save for what truly matters tomorrow. We discussed being honest with ourselves when tracking income and expenses, and building habits that provide not only control over money, but also financial freedom in adult life.
For these young people, such meetings are an opportunity to gain practical tools for an independent future.
At the end of the gathering, several participants received branded notebooks to help them track their personal finances.
There were many open conversations, sincere memories, real-life experiences, and a shared understanding that the path to stability begins with simple habits.
In addition, our Foundation runs the “Deposit to Adulthood” Program, through which every graduate of an institutional care facility, upon turning 18, receives a savings deposit of 18,000 UAH (430 USD) for two years, with the opportunity to continue develop their savings. Today, we already have 7 participants in this program, and we are seeing encouraging results as they learn to save independently. We are deeply grateful to the Eugen Hlyva Fund for making this opportunity possible for orphaned youth.
A heartfelt thank you to @GoCampaign for creating growth opportunities for our young people, helping them change their lives through meetings like this and access to valuable consultations.
