Andriy Nazarenko was born in 1980 in the Ternopil region. When Andriy turned 3 years old he was placed in the Koropets State Orphanage where he was under its care for 14 years.

In 1992, for 5 months, Andriy had an opportunity to experience living with a family in Wisconsin, USA. The Family Lois tried to adopt Andriy, but because of many problems in Ukraine, the government wouldn't allow the family to make this dream a reality.

From 1997 to 2002 Andriy studied at the Ternopil Technical University where he received a master's degree in Food Technology. He then entered the Ternopil National Economical Academy to pursue a degree in organizational management. In 2004, after an exchange program in the USA, Andriy entered the Ternopil Pedagogical University to get a degree in English and foreign literature.

Since 1999, Andriy volunteers in different social programs of the NonGovernment Organization (NGO) "Brotherhood of Orphans." He was responsible for the following projects: The Ternopil Center of Adaptation and professional orientation of orphans, The Ternopil Medical Service for orphans, The Ternopil Service for protecting orphan's rights and developing a Foster Care system in the Ternopil region.

During Andriy's visit the USA, he spent an unforgettable time with the Lois family and made new contacts with people and organizations that work with poor children and youth to support this work in Ukraine.

In 2004, Andriy returned to Ukraine and started to bring together young people and discuss the orphan's problems in villages in the Ternopil region and develop ways to solve them. So, in 2006 the Ternopil Charitable Foundation "Orphans' Future" was officially registered that provides more of an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Ternopil area orphans. Andriy became the Executive Director of the charitable foundation.
